Thank you to all those that attended the International Protective Security Board’s first-ever annual Close Protection Conference!

We had a tremendous turnout and there was considerable interest from security professionals around the world. Las Vegas was a perfect backdrop for such a grand event and we will be happy to return there this December for the IPSB’s 2nd annual conference.

We were proud to put together a phenomenal program that covered so many of the topics and discussions that are shaping our industry. And of course, a special “thank you” goes out to our Key Note Speaker, Mike Howard. One of our main goals is to promote the professionalization of the industry and attracting talented individuals like Mike Howard helps to achieve this.

We want to build off of last year’s success when we had over 270 security experts from eight different countries join us so we took the feedback from your exit surveys and used that information in planning this year’s event.

The main takeaways from the survey were that people found the experience to be valuable, supported the selected dates and location and that they enjoyed the full range of offered panels.

In addition to offering more panels and attracting a larger total attendance, we also want to encourage more collaboration throughout the security community in a more general sense. One of the things that surprised us the most from last year’s conference was the amount of enthusiasm from intelligence analysts and other similar professionals. Reaching out to all members of the security community makes sense and will benefit us all.

With a successful 2016 debut, we are already excited about how we can continue to grow and develop the IPSB’s annual conference. We look forward to welcoming you to Las Vegas again at the end of the year!
